Real talk, support, and humor for living with a urostomy, along with valuable bladder removal support and urostomy education.
Thank you!
Our journey with bladder loss didn’t begin the same way, but it led us to the same (but slightly different) place. Alex’s bladder was removed because of cancer. Mine was removed after years of living with interstitial cystitis and relentless pain.
Different paths, different reasons… one shared reality.
Along the way, we learned how to adapt, cope, and rebuild life after bladder removal, often through trial, error, tears, and a surprising amount of laughter. We’ve navigated surgery, recovery, appliances, leaks, emotions, and the everyday moments no one really prepares you for.
This space exists to share what we wish we’d known sooner about bladder removal support, offer honest reassurance, and remind you that life doesn’t end when your bladder does; it simply changes. And sometimes, it even gets better.
For those living with a urostomy, leaks happen. Laugh anyway. Through urostomy education, we hope to empower others to embrace their new reality.
You can send me an email if you have any questions.
I would be happy to assist if you’re seeking bladder removal support or urostomy education.
